Calibrations?

Just curious if many flash their own calibrations? For that matter any insight on doing that? I have not come across any info on the board about it.

I have a burner and a stack of sst27sf512 chips that I flash for my Daytona.

For my Daytona, I burn cals for the ECU: called a SMEC for the 88/89 years. Curious about doing the same for the Maxima.

I remember you saying that a while back, that's an awesome idea. But what exactly are you calibrating and to what standard or

ah, sorry... I am not slow.

I am by no means an expert. For my Daytona, code was added to flash the CEL on knock retard. A friend did that for me. The temp the fan comes on was lowered. The charging voltage was raised slightly. Being turbo, boost cut out was raised. As well as tweaking the fuel, timing and related tables.

What I am interested in looking at for the Max is the fuel and timing tables. When I can monitor the knock retard, I would like to try to lean things out a bit. Curious to hear what others have done...
