distributor and alternator location?

distributor and alternator location?

i'm going to clean my engine but where is my destributor and alternator located at? i need to cover them before i do

Alternator is passenger side, front about knee height by radiator. We do not have distributors, we have "Coil on Plug Ignition". (There are 3 underneath the "Nissan V6 3000 Twin Cam 24 Valve" trim piece staring at you as you open the hood. Also way in back, in between intake runners towards firewall - 3 black coils with 2 wire harnesses going into each of them.)

Everything in the engine compartment will withstand a spray down.
Use a leaf blower to blow dry everything when your done. Trim Shine is an excellent dressing to use after it's all clean.

spraying greasy areas w/ simple green and using a toothbrush or something helps too.
