I use goo gone and it really didnt work. I tired wet sand with 1500 still didnt work is there anything else i could do to remove the glue off ?

i did this on sunday. i got as much off with my fingernail as possible and used goo gone.
it worked fine, but took a long time rubbing. probably 10 minutes in each spot.

additionally, i kept heating up the adhesive with my 15 dollar heatgun, that seems to loosen it up a good amount.

You can also use a hair dryer, but be careful not to heat up the paint too too much. Heating up the glue is the key.

Well i dont have a heat gun.

I got alot of it off now but now i scratched up the paint trying to take off the logo's so im gonna have to repaint where the nissan logo was and the maxima logo.

ye its a hassel. goo gone w/ fingernails did the trick, also try lighter fluid.

good luck with that... I tried goo gone.. .all I did was rub out the clear coat, now I have a flat black area where once it use to say M-A-X-I-M-A, and you can still see the difference. It wasnt like my old car.... that stuff came off pretty easily. Good luck

You a large rubber eraser.

rubbed way too hard if that happened. clay bay the area, then maguires gold 2 or 3 coats and time and it will shine back up. never rub on older clear-coat too hard as its allready worn down by the elements and age.

so why are you callin the guy an eraser?? he needs helpful comments not negativity. ( just wakin up, hunh???)

Lacquer thinner works. Just dont rub to hard.

3M makes a wheel that you attach to a drill that works great. I removed my side mouldings on my GMC Truck and while it took some time just because of how much I had to take off, it worked awesome. Blew through two DeWalt batteries, but that's another story.

You might not have to repaint. Take it to an auto detail shop and they'll buff out whatever is left..

zippo fluid ( lighter fluid) works great.. you will need to use a little elbow grease, but works wonders.. personally, I find it's better then goo gone..

in the future it is really easy to let logos and pin striping off. wash your car or get the area were the logo is really wet. then take a heat gun or hair dryer moving back and forth the logo the hardest part of this job will be getting the logo to start peeling use your fingernail (never a razor blade.... i only say this to protect my instructions as i have seen people use razor blade and exac-o knifes) once you have it started use a spray bottle and spray the logo while still using the heat gun. this will cause a steaming effect. if properly done this will leave no adhesive behind. after done if the car is older then about 2 years or sees a lot of sun you will have to 2500 grit wet sand and bluff by hand with 3m perfect-it hand glaze. also as far as the zippo fluid that works great on adhesive if you want the adhesive to stick again when the fluid dries (works great on void stickers and sticker that cover up screw holes.... Not that i have ever used zippo fluid on my xbox or anything...hehe) the magic eraser is a awsome product as well. i only giving my 2 cent. hope this helps
