How much for a 97gxe 5speed?

How much should I pay for a 97 GXE with a 5 speed. It has a receipt for a rebuilt transmission just done with new axles for 1300. Broker wants 3500 but I think more like 2700 is fair. The car has 141300 miles on it, decent shape. Has some noise coming from pulley area, i think it might be timing chain tensioner but don't know for sure. Thx.

Show him $2850 cash and then walk away....I guarantee he stops you before you hit the door. OR, tell him to fix that noise and give him 3000.

Of course they don't. It's a wear and tear item, and has to be there in order for the car to be complete. Having new OEM parts doesn't add any value to a car, it's only worth piece of mind.....

Right . I dont know why people think that since the replaced things that equates to the car being worht more.
