Custom parts wanted???
I'm just needing some input here. Are there any parts that you are wanting for your 4th gen's that are not currently made or you feel are too expensive? Whether it be metal or plastic, etc.
Its can be anything you can think. I might make some custom parts for the 4th gen if there is a big enough interest so throw out some ideas.

what you should do is search around and get a feel for whats out there and peoples thought on things. Figure out what you want to make, make one to test on your car and if all is well even maybe dyno test if its a performance part. and only THEN come back here, pay to be a vendor and post it up for sale whatever it may be...
so what are u capable of making? what type of welding will u be doing if metal parts. are you doing the work yourself or will you be outsourcing for things? can u make an intake manifold? equal length y pipe that makes power?
theres always someone looking for some kind of adapter...whether its a pathfinder throttlebody adapter, a 4thgen IACV on an 00VI adapter, 00VI EGR block off plate, 4thgen throttlebody on 00VI adapter, or an EGR delete kit. Im also interested in getting some traction bars.
theres a few ideas

those things are already readily available, and i get the impresssion he has access to a CNC machine...i doubt hed make an intake manifold or equal length ypipe.
lol i agree, i think it would be great to produce some adapter plates of all sorts aswell as EGR blockoffs. I would buy at least an adapter for 4th gen TB for the 00vi and an egr blockoff
Well, I would be doing the design work myself in CAD and then have the parts outsourced by a professional job shop. So welded parts wouldn't be a problem. An intake manifold and a y-pipe would be a big undertaking though since they would require lot of testing and tuning, etc.
We used to be able to get bbk brackets made by Matt Blehm for 300 zx calipers to fit 6th gen rotors but he sold his business. I've been trying to get my hands on some for a while now and can't seem to find anyone willing to just sell the brackets. A couple other people are looking as well.

so? it cant hurt to have some competitive pricing. I have a hard time paying 120 bucks everytime I want an adaptor and just wishing I had made it myself whenever I see how complicated they are.
i cant think of anything off the top of my head.

im just saying that it cant hurt to have more attention to the same things. that way its not so much of a "monopoly". not to say we are getting ripped off but...thats just the way of economics mayn.

(its all the same except for the piece that blocks off the intake manifold)
i suggested he should make adapters cause those are easy to design, CNC, and produce a bunch of.
I use AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, EMachineshop.com's proprietary software.... And dare I say it, Sketchup for my 3d stuff since its so easy.
I use each of those on a daily basis. there's lots of others out there that the fab shops use too, but those are all the ones I have loaded on my laptop.
Just figure you'd want to know.

Sweet! Should I just pm you and you'll let me know or will something be posted in the classifieds...?
Please email Pam @ sales@mattblehm.com and ask to be notified when they're ready.
I think we have a couple sets of 5-6 gen brackets left in stock, but the 3-4 gen brackets and more 5-6 gen brackets are on the way.

Exactly what each CNC machine uses is different, but for the most part the machine has proprietary software that will read a CAD file and translate that into a program the machine uses to make the part. it gets pretty complicated, but for the most part the designer doesn't need to worry about it.
draw something up in CAD and give them a proper dimensioned drawing, then send it to the fab shop and they deal with programming the machine.
