'97 Tranny issues....again

Well i got a 97se max with an automatic transmission that just got put in over thanksgiving. And last week the tranny slipped out of gear and wouldnt go back in. So i get it to the shop and the next day they tell me theres nothing wrong and charged me $25. Now everyonce and a while the car will jerk badly and just die. Is this in the transmission itself or like the torque converter locking up.

Sounds like the TCC is randomly locking up. Fault for that could be in the wiring, TCM, solenoids, VB, TC itself, etc. If you purchased it all from that shop you should definitely take up action directly with them.

EDIT: Assuming of course the scope of your problems is purely trans related.
