Vacuum hose from EVAP purge control valve to EVAP purge volume control closes itself

Allright, this has been botherin me for quite some time. As the title states the small black hose from the EVAP purge control valve to the EVAP purge volume control is sucking itself closed only in P or N(automatic) and starts making a ticking noise, I got no CEl's, tommorrow Im gonna take apart the EVAP purge volume control valve see if its clogged. Anyone ever had this issue? What were the causes? Thanks

Getting a code for anything? IIRC there is a way to check to see if the canister is working properly.

No i got no codes. Good point about the hose, I forgot to add that it is not the stock hose, it is rather flimsy, since I replaced my vacuum hoses with blue ones from Canadian Tire(were meant for vacuum hoses), I cant find my stock hoses, well I guess Ill try a thicker hose. The weird thing is it just started doing this a couple of weeks ago and I have had the blue hoses for almost two years. Thanx for the help.

the engine heat will eventually make cheap hoses flimsy. now im not 100% sure on this but i think the hoses might be fuel hose since after all the evap is for fuel vapor. but ya just get some better hose.

Get a good quality hose on there, engine vacuum can easily pull a flimsy hose closed.

Blue hoses = RICE
