???mounting location for hood pins for a cf hood??

Hey guys. I recently installed a cf on my 99 max from deftracing.com. I also bought the included hood pins (non locking), however, I do not see a good place to mount them on the hood as there is nothing to bolt to underneath in the engine bay. For all of you who have installed hood pins, could you give me advice on where to secure the bolts (i.e. radiator support if possible bc looks like it isnt, etc.) I was thinking of bolting a flat piece of 1/4 metal on each side (starting from the radiator support and extending towards the rear of the engine bay about 6" so that I would have something to bolt to. I was just wondering what everone else did. Thanks in advance guys.

with out them, the hood will fly open on highway driving.

above your headlights, you can drill into the frame and bolt them on thru there.

No drilling in the frame is required. Just use an existing hole......same goes for the other side. Luckily, it's perfectly symmetrical.

See pic.

Dont pass on the hood pins. Without them, you'll never feel comfortable going over 50 on the highway. Is that how you wanna live your life ??

Agree with The Wizard, holes are already there(except for the hood), so why not use the existing holes.

The wizard- you car looks very nice.

Also being in the passenger seat of a car without hood pins and CF hood is scary!!
