Alt. Fuse?

Im having serious problem with a brand new Alternator in my 97, is there a fuse for the alt that might be blown? also, the two wires that clip into the positive battery cable are from the alt......Right?

I just replaced an alternator on my 97. Is your alternator not working? Are you not able to start? A little more detail will help.

I had blown my fusible link which made it so that my power windows and door lock would not work.

there is a fuse for the amp, 10 amps IIRC. Check that first, make sure all connectors on the alternaotr are sound, free of dirt, check that the ground is grounded.

I don't believe the A32 has any fusible links at all, just regular fuses.

It's there.
Open your fuses right by the airbox. There is a brown 140 amp one that is screwed in on both sides. It's a pain in the *** to pull out since you have to separate the fuse box.

No, that's one of the funky things that happens when you change the alternator. All that fusible link controls is the power windows and locks.

You still didn't really post up very much info. Are you getting the Brake Light AND Battery Light on your dash? It's pretty hard to do anything without some detail as to what exactly is wrong.

Oh... and check ALL your connections twice!
