Should I be worried?!

Hey guys, today I smoked my buddy in his Mustang and afterward I got an oil smell in the cabin. I did not redline the car and I really didnt acellerate too hard. Later in the day about 6 hours later I started the car and the smell was gone. Is this something I should be worried about. I just had my rear valve cover gasket done so I dont think that would be the problem.

Check for any oil leaks but if the smell is gone i would not worry about it now. If you start smelling oil again then look into it more.

haha well if I didnt race him I would be hearing about it for the next month. He was a big talker so I wanted to shut him up.
Anyways...
Do you think that cold weather could have caused this smell, or it does it not matter the temp outside?

you could have just spilt some oil on the motor when doing the repairs... if you were racen you might have gotten it hot enough to start burnen the oil no biggie though. ive done it a couple times... just a thought. might be somethen else though. check your fluid levels and look for leaks.
