My old pebble beige maxima is no longer...

.....CG2

The owner who bought my old max painted it white pearl, i think a piece of me just died a little when i saw it. Granted it looks good, and supposedly has a blue flake in it, but that paint was almost mint! Oh well,

Just when i thought i moved on!

RIP CG2 from Cali...

....Does anyone think i got too attatched? haha

Nothin' wrong with being TOO attached lol. I learn to love my Max more and more each day (especially today after it got detailed for the first time ). I don't know if/when I'll give her up. That white is very nice btw. My sister has a pearl white '97 SE Max. My brother's former '99 SE-L Max was beige.

The white will look very good, but i think i learned to love the Pebble Beige, it was never my choice of colors, but I worked with it turned out to be really unique.

I'm just scared for what's next. Seriously, the white is worlds better than the original plan he told me of purple

Obviously we all have our different taste in cars, and my car was modded to a particular taste, but i knew I wasn't going to want to her about the future of my old maxima after he some of the things he wanted to do with it (neon, lighting, etc). But at least he takes care of it....its all in the same domain in the love for cars, which is really what it comes down to.

At least i have pictures

As a pebble beige owner, i am sad. That was one of the best looking cg2's on the org.

Sorry Will. I loved that color and the car overall. Very clean and sick. But as long as the new owner takes care of it, then guess there's not much more to say.

I think you definitely had the nicest cg2 on the board. You should have told him to not change anything and that it made it into nissan sport mag, so he'd be afraid to do too much to it. Did he join the .org?

Haha. Yeah sold the rims with the car, i didn't want to, but it made the sale so. Sold the max for an M3 for an offer that i didn't see coming around very soon. I do love the m3, but I do miss looking at the max.

Thanks!

The kid bought the car for when he got back from the Military over seas. He saw the car on ebay and thought it "looked cool". So hopes of a maxima enthusiast as the next owner were pretty much shot down. ha.

Don't think he has any idea on nice those rims were, or the awesomeness of the freshly installed SFC's i welded on, or the nice ksport coilovers, or the Diamond Audio Hex Components in the doors that I had to leave in...bah! Need to stop thinking about it..

And as much as i tell him to get on the .org he doesn't seem to interested, but maybe he'll join sometime. I did mention it was in the magazine, didn't seem to think much of it though.

haha i doubt he'll join after the "love" he's getting right now from this thread. Either way, I'll just choose to remember it as a cg2. Too many white and black maximas running around here.

Thats sad to see. It did look better before.
Why did he buy such a nice car if he was going to change everything?
He could of bought a much cheaper car in need of painting if that was his intentions with your car.

it may seem like an off color, but it grows on you. on a side note, how's the M treating you?

That's kinda what i was thinking. But that's what happens when a kid has a bunch of money to throw at a car and not much exposure to the car scene. But, we all ad those stages I guess. If you gave me 10K to spend on my first car on mods when I was young and first into the modding scene, i'm sure it'd turn out a lot different.

It definitely does. I wasn't real crazy about the color to begin with, but it was a 5spd, and I was happy enough to find one in the first place.

The M3 is an amazing car. Its so dynamic and the feel and driving experience is just so much unlike anything else. Its really hard to explain, sortof discribed as the M'ness of the car :P

Its not the fastest thing by far. I get eaten up by LS1's around here all the time, but that's not its real purpose. That all fades when you get into the sole purpose and principle of the M3. I like that kinda respect and feel very lucky to own such a car.

Its obviously a bit different throwing money into, as half the money goes into keeping up the car to keep it up to maintenance quota. But i've kinda learned to accept that because keeping the car how it is makes me just as happy than to heavily mod it. I do have some Ground Control coilovers going on soon. That and some summer tires should be all the fun I need for awhile

I will, and always will have a soft spot for maxima's though..

I think you're either not pushing the gas hard enough, or not turning the wheel sharp enough. I'd recommend a little more of both as part of a balanced diet.
