Bad Injector

I had one of my injectors (number 1) go bad on me. Figured I would tell you guys as I'm sure it will become a more common problem with the 4th gens. Simple to fix but if your car has a "multiple cly miss fire" It could be the culprit. Car runs strong again. Typically if it was the coilpacks (which also will go bad) you would have the ECU tell you which cly it is. The computer isn't as smart with the injectors. Anyways happy modding and if you have any questions on how to change the injectors I can provide information.

ha i remember doing a injector, took like 5mins at the most to complete, since it was the front three. well the computer still tells you have a misfire, all you have to do is use a ohm meter. best tool for finding bad coils and injectors

i believe it takes more than a mere 5 minutes. i watched a tech from nissan remove 1 of those from my car and it took him 2 hours because your supposed to do the plenum gasket whenever you replace an injector. pictures in stickies perhaps??? anyone??

Basically. Took me 20 minutes to get them out (after I had the caps off) at the junkyard, since I had never done it before. 5 minutes to replace one in my car.

I have a lean bank 1 and cyl misfire, but with no code to tell me which cyl is misfiring. My guess its a bad fuel injector, to bad its on the back. If i have to take the manifold off i might as well replace the valve cover gaskets and those funky o rings for the spark plug holes.

Have you tried swapping coils to troubleshoot?
