quick question just changed ecu
quick question just changed ecu
I just got a new stock ecu for my 99 max its a 5 speed fed spec. I know i have to get my key reprogramed because of the immobilizer. I was told that There should be a nats code when you try to crank the car. I tried cranking the car and then checking codes but all the scan tool said was error. my question is does nissan have to program it to my car and key before the car can read the ecu? How much will this cost if anyone knows?
A Generic Scan Tool may not identify the NATS code properly, but trust me it is there.
Yes, your car must be programmed with the Consult 2, or it will never start.
Bite the bullet and have it done, the cost I'm not sure but there is no way around it.
