funny door locks
Anyone ever had this problem.Whenever i push in my key on drivers side and turn to the right to open,my door opens, when key is being returned to the normal position(straight) all doors open. Now this is just dumb, if i have someone on the passenger side(killer) that i dont want to come in,...im screwed, cause eventually, the door will open for him. it happens for both front doors as well. What you guys think? Is there a fix?

No, it's not supposed to unlock all the doors when you return the key to the center position. It's supposed to do that only when you turn the key a second time (without removing it). Not sure what you can do about it except take it to the dealer.

yeah, thats what happens when i go back to the center position.i would really not like to go to the stealership.there must be a fix to it somewhere around here. But how would this make keyless entry totally INCOMPLETE and not worth it.?...i have never experienced keyless, so i have no clue.

And light up your domelight, depending on which version of the keyfob you have. Later versions replaced the domelight button with the panic button.

ok guys this is the thing...i hsve no key fob at the moment.however my doors are doing that thing when i turn to the right it opens my door then when returning to center position all doors open.dont know how to fix that and i really dont want to go to the stealership.what i want to know now is if it would give keyless any problems now that i am trying to make keyless work. if i got keyless would i have any problems at all being due to the behavior of these locks.?

sounds like you need to trace it down to the relay ... IMHO. with our cars, yes - you turn the key one time to unlock that door, twice to unlock them all. I think it's a relay issue from the sounds of it. Like a relay is stuck in the closed position to allow one turn to act as two. Not sure what to tell you ... sorry. See if you can find anything in the FSM about the electronic locks .... should be something.
As for keyless .... the problem will be the same if you hit the "unlock" on the fob, you'll unlock all of the doors. My mate has an Altima and has keyless on it ... if you hit the button one time, it'll unlock the drivers door - twice unlocks all the doors. I think the only way to do that is via a relay .... sorry to say.

what ?????? I dunt think so mate. turn it TWICE to unlock all ..... (unless of course your name is Snypa!) lol
I had an accord (97') and if you held the lock open, it'd do just that, unlock all of them, but if you turned it once and let it back, only the door you're unlocking. I turn my key as fast as I can ... which aint very fast cause it's old and stiff, but even if I turn it supppper fast, it's still only gonna unlock that door - untill I turn it again.
