How can you tell the difference between the Stillen supercharger kit for our cars? Is the mounting plate different, or is it just the SC unit itself? Are there any part #s to look for?

 

This is the wrong section for this and may not get answered. Maybe a mod can move it to the super/turbo section.

 

if you can ... you should PM Matty .... he sells the kits. it's my understanding that the mounting kit is different (v2 being better) but the SC itself is not any different.

like mentioned above .... maybe the wrong place for this, but it's here so ....

 

When did the V2 Mounting Plate ever get better than the V1 ?? ??


If you wanna take a picture of your mounting plate, I could tell you what kit you have.

The blower are generally the same type unit (V1 or V2)

Sorry Matt ... not trying to interject where I don't know much about being boosted, cause I am not. Make sense? lol Anyway ... I have read that one kit is maybe made of a better quality - something about belt shredding with one of the kits ... not sure if it's V1 or V2 ...... I would suspect that you know, cause you deal with these sorts of things, I don't. My hat's off to ya mate!

Is there a "better" version kit, be it 1 or 2 ???? Is there a lot of difference between them? What was the issue with belt shredding anyway? I guess I need to just read and read some more on the SC / Turbo pages .... but I don't go there cause I am not boosted and have no money to get that way.

Anyway ... Matt is the guy to talk to on this .... so I'll step back and just be thunk a fool of as opposed to proving it by opeing my mouth. lol

V1's are louder than V2's. When the V2 was made it was advertised to be a quieter SC as well. I rode in cars with both and you can tell the difference in noise. Both are beasts when it comes to creating horsepower though. No difference there.
