97 MAXIMA TRANSMISSION

Is there different years that wont fit a 1997...auto?

Or all 95-99 auto trannys the same?

Also is there any other cars transmissions fit our car?

95-99 are all the same with respect to the auto trans. You can use a 5th gen as well if you replace the VB.

I don't believe so, no.

Valve body.

Why do you have to replace the valve body?

Not necessarily the VB itself, but the wiring harness for the A33 VB is different than the A32 version. If you replace just the solenoids, it may not be an issue.

as for a 5spd ... 95 - 01 will fit if I recall correctly. Pmohr ???? I thought also that a Spec - V 6 spd would fit ... (with mods - same as a 6spd Maxima)

Spec-V 6MT with the Maxima 6MT bellhousing will work, of course if you replace the trans mount, and do some tricky stuff with the clutch and flywheel setups.

But yes, 95-01.

Just put new quickstruts on the rear and new belts, 245K miles.
Would you flush the tranny at this point if it is running well or leave it alone?
Thanks

Struts and belts is not relevant to this thread? And with that many miles leave it alone if it's at. And fill as you need. If 5/6mt you can flush

Drain and fill is good. DO NOT FLUSH!! AT fluid has a service life, I don't understand why people say don't replace it. I guess its confusion of the term flush.
