So ignoring issues dosent help... i need help

Okay guys my car has 288,000 miles its a 95 and ever since i bought it i noticed if i revved it when the engine was disengaged the rpm would dip down a little and come back up...well that problem got worse and its getting to the point where it will shut off. I know my cel is on but i cannot see it because of my guage lights went out. But when i bought the car i got it checked for codes and all i got was a bad egr so i ignored that also too. The thing with the guage was it worked but it killed fuses everyday so i decided to put a bigger fuse and it still blew it but this time it wont work even chaning the fuse.. so i said w/e... it feels like it has lost power too. Another issue i dont think is causing loss of power but can it? I tried to take my rear muffler off to replace it when i noticed the boltes were stripped. So i take one out it comes out then brakes... ok then the next one stript no mater wat i do it wont come out so i get my dremil even thats hard because of the angle. So its like half way shooting air into the muff. and half way escaping... robbing power? I dunno but i can smell it wen i drive... headache... anyway guys i would apreciate it if u can help me out if u have ever seen anything like this...lesson learned dont ignore problems...

clean throttle body, ivac and adjust idle rpms

Pull your speedo guages (it has a name but i can't remember what it is) out and replace the globe with one of the globes next to it? (its 9 screw, 4 for the steering wheel cover and 2 for the actual guage cover, once they are gone 3 for the guage itself, just requires a long philips and some pulling). At least then you can check your codes.

doesnt autozone still scan for free? go get your codes pulled before doing anything. Cleaning the TB and IAC Valve is always a good idea. i disagree with adjusting your idle.

Something similar happened to me at about 125k on my 99 SE LTD. I replaced EGR and cleaned the ports around it (took about 1.5 hours i think... it's been a while). I took off the code but to this day still misses and has other issues.

I know how to clean the throttle body but were is the ivac? I dont want to mess with idle yet. I am kinda broke so ill have to rig sum piping up for now until i can afford a catback. So is the egr causing it? And its not an open exhaust it half open and i was kind of thinking under wot with all that air it wouldnt be a straight through flow? I dunno this car is driving me insane.

I think knock sensor will come up but i hope it dosent. The car never had a knock sensor replacement so i think thers a high chance it will pop up. I no there expensive and a pain in the *** to put in.

Cluster! thats what its called. (where your check engine light lives). pull that all out and replace the globe that lights up the check engine light. i'm assuming thats why the check engine light isn't showing anymore, because the lightbulb is blown?
