Also can you show me where the 4th gen has an upper control or suspension arm?
What 4th gens have in front.

What 4th gens have in the rear.

Im curious to know, what is your definition of a shock or strut? Because we have struts in the rear. The spring is physically sitting on a perch on the strut. Springs do not physically sit on a shock. They may go around it but they dont connect so to speak.

:

Retail locations list them as shocks as well so, right or wrong, I guess I'll continue to call them shocks. If for nothing else, so that people in the stores will at least know what I'm talking about haha:

edit- just realized you changed your nick. Was wondering why I hadn't seen any of your posts around the boards lately.....

Good reads. The FSM refers to the fronts as struts and the rears as shocks, so I've always done the same

But I still believe they are Chapman struts because we dont have any of the usual shock suspension components namely an upper contol arm...
Not to mention Nissan was in the crapper when they brought out the 4th gen, so the Chapman struts are a much cheaper alternative to a wishbone suspension. Which we all would want right about now.

Yea I did change my name...its been throwing everyone off...NmexMax thought I was a newb in the dual exhaust thread and was getting all excited to pwn me.
