What rpm's are you turning, esp when cold

Hi everyone,
This morning it was about 5 F , and my 96 Maxima had a chance to warm up a bit, but I did notice that when on the highway the rpm's at 60mph were about 2200. Does the trans not shift as often when cold? Also at normal operating temps, what rpm's are you turning at 70mph?

Thanks,
Zack

its should be backwards, it'll usually wait to shift later if it's cold to warm up, but i wouldn't know I have never owned an auto.

I'll log 60 and 70 on my way to school, but here's ~80:

EDIT: 60mph = 2100rpm. Temp gauge had just reached the middle

The torque converter will not lock up until the trans is up to operating temp. You will see slightly higher RPM's crusing down the highway until it locks.
~72MPH = 2500RPM's when it's locked.
