quick question

would the throttle position sensor make a car miss, because when mine is plugged in it has slight misses, but when i plug it out it runs fine, but im not sure if its healthy for the car to run without it plugged in.

Are you getting a check engine light with a TPS code?
You can check the TPS with a multi meter and the Haynes shop manual.

actually, I dont have any check engine light on, but the car has a slight miss when im crusing when the TPS is plugged in, so I plugged it out and the problem is gone, I have been driving with it plugged out. So I came to the conclusion that the TPS is not good, however I was just curious to know if the TPS when gone bad would make the car miss.

instead of plugging it out, why not replace the piece.

Take the advice in post #2. Then we'll take it from there.

Has your TPS ever been replaced/tinkered with? It's a very sensitive sensor.
