its only 110 dollars. Even if it gives 10HP its more cost effective than a y pipe. Try it out someone. Im thinking that this summer when i get my car dyno'd, im gonna do a before and after with an electric supercharger just to settle this debate. If someone wants to beat me to it, go for it.

Well, they guarantee a 30% minimum hp and tq gain . So if you do decided to buy it and dyno it, you can always get a full refund if it doesnt hit those numbers (I should say WHEN it doesnt hit those numbers). At least i would assume they would give you a full refund if they're guaranteeing that you'll get those kind of gains.

lol ya...I am very skeptical also of it and doubt it but i thought, hey, ill try it just to get the solid proof down on paper, then use it for a hair dryer. lol. I have a few other ideas for some homemade mods that may be revealed later and also get dyno'd.

$110 electric supercharger = complete and utter garbage, in my opinion.
You are more than welcome to buy one and prove me wrong.

i would have to see someone from this .org show prof of this possible before i would even start believing it. 8 psi. a 30% gain in hp/tq. that would have to be one bad electric motor.

In theory something like this could work...Just have to get a strong enough electic motor to be able to spin the turbine at 100,xxx RPMs...

Like a computer fan?

Surprisingly enough, this thread has been rather civil. Where's Nmex at?

Precisely. It would have to be brushless, but then we are talking about so much current draw, its own ESC, etc. Its doable but it would cost more than $110 for a quality brushless motor, ESC and parts.

The funny part about this debate is that they have a message board with people claiming gains...

This guy supposedly has a 91 sentra who claimed a 60hp increase with it. The funny part about it is that his baseline dyno was at 258hp....

http://www.electricsupercharger.net/...topic.php?t=21

I dont know too much about sentras, but i've never seen one put out that much hp all motor. If that's the case, why are we waisting time with the VQ35!

Look at those graphs. I'm betting they hand drew those. The curves on the baseline cross at ~5650 (as opposed to 5252). In the second one the curve has two intersection points

lol @ some of the other forum posts as well. In the one thread where a guy made a video, the one comment is "That thing sounds mean as hell!" It sounds like a vacuum cleaner. Apparently vacuum cleaners sound bada** Also, anyone else find it fishy that every thread is locked, there's like 3 posts per page, and on threads that say they have 4 pages, there's nothing on any of the pages past page 1.

ya their entire site looks fishy. I like how they claim to have 100's of different types for every make and model....wouldnt they all just be universal?

Don't do it, it will put too much air into the engine without properly adjusting for fuel trim resulting in your engine running WAY too lean, resulting in possible .

you cant just get forced induction and get all kinds of gains there has to be a place for the exhaust to go also.

hey buy two and put one for induction and the other on your exhaust for the pressure to flow better.

Id do it if the gains for for real and worth it, the best part about these would be the fact that it is cheap and easy to install, but it seems to good to be true... 250HP out of a stock VQ with this? I kinda doubt, 220-230HP I can see and even that is still worth it for the price...
