95 maxima remote

The question is about a keyless entry. I actually got the car 3 years ago and the remote was not working. But i know for sure that the alarm works. I replaced the remote battery and the remote still doesnt work. So, do you think i can buy a new remote from ebay (program it on the car, will i even be able to do this?) or i should go to a nissan dealership? I know for sure that the dealership would charge minimum 100 bucks for the service...

Thanx

95 is not hard to program. I bought a keyless entry about 1 week after I got my maxima and worked right away. I just threw my instructions away a few days ago but should be on forum somewhere

Or the Nissan dealership by me did it for free when I bought a remote off ebay with no instructions ... Could ask them to do it too

Are you sure you have this feature?? Some Maxs' did not come with keyless entry, GXE's with the safety and convince package have it, and I believe SE and GLE models come standard with it... So an easy way to tell if you have a GXE with the package, if the mirrors in your sun visors have lights.
HTH!
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, its been almost a year since I have owned my Max so I'm getting rusty haha

yeah either reprogram by searching for the instructions, or if reprogramming doesnt work, buy a new one off of ebay.

Or you could open your trunk and look in the area of the jack to see if you have the actual brain of the keyless entry. I think all Maxima's have lights in their mirrors.
