battery voltage

hey guys,

over the weekend i checked my battery voltage using a voltmeter, it showed up as 12.08 volts. The battery is about 3 years old according to the receipt. Is it time for a change? Should I get an Optima Red Top, if so where can i get one cheap?

thanks

12 volts is normal. You don't need a red top, but it is a 10 year battery. Cheapest that I have seen them is costco.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I recommend you wait until your car becomes hard to start before replacing the battery.
