where is the thermostat in engine?

where is the thermostat in engine?

i looked in stickies...the thread i need does not work....


can someone point out to me where the thermostat is in out engine?...mines needs a changing ...and i would appreciate the help...thanks...

Follow the Lower Rad Hose. It goes to the Pass side of the motor. From the top, take off the hose, Remove the (3) 10mm nuts, Then remove the entire thermostat housing. Replace the Housing with a new thermostat (comes as a set) and the gasket.

It's super easy, just be sure to have a rag to sop up some antifreeze, you dont want it dripping on your alternator.

thanks guys forr the response the stickies was first placed i looked and mods are working on it. im getting codes tomorrow since im off and ill update what exacttly cause of check engine light is

Wait, I was told that you have to drain the fluid first...so you don't have to?

How much fluid comes out this way?

well today i ran codes... i got p0150 02 sensor bank 2 sensor 1...thats an easy fix...that was a big sigh of relief...
