Looking at 1995 5sp SE...
Looking at 1995 5sp SE...
I have a 1993 SE 5sp and I have always wanted a 4th Gen. Unfortunately when it came time to purchase a car last year, I did not have the necessary funds for a 4th gen so I had to settle for a 93, which has served me very well for the past year.
Now the time has come for me to part from my 93 and move on to bigger and better things. I have been looking for 5sp 4th gens for a long time with no luck but finally located a sweet 1995 black SE 5speed with 75000 miles, fully loaded, sunroof, leather, etc. Idealy I would of liked a 97 or 98 but the 95 will do just fine.
The asking price for it is 8000$. I will probably look into trading-in my 1993, not too sure what amount I can expect to get for that though.
After looking around and comparing prices, I believe this is a very reasonable price for what I am getting. What do you guys think?

sounds good!!!
8 grand for a loaded 95 5spd with less than 80k miles is a good price. Make sure it's in good condition, arrange to have it checked by a mechanic or something. Look for little things that can knock the price off a little bit.... you might even get it cheaper! I never knew anyone who paid "asking price" for a car if it had an asking price. When I bought my old 93 SE the asking price on it was 9,500$
I paid 7

Sounds reasonable. I'm sure you will love your 95SE 5speed as much as I love mine. I think the main downsides with a 95 vs later 4th gen are:
(1)stock wheels not as nice
(2)potential starter problems
(3)dash pillar rattles
(4)glass headlight/fog units
(5)rust on older cars makes mods/maintenance much more difficult.
(6)doors can stick due to poor hinge design
