Engine check light, 5 errors.

So I took my car on vacation, long drive to Atlanta from NYC and back. The car ran like a champ, I was really happy with the performance. This morning I get up to switch sides and it is running like crap and the engine check light is on. Bring it to the mechanic and tells me that my car needs lots of work?

1st cylinder is misfiring.
1 bad knock sensor
1 bank sensor 1
front catalytic converter bad.

I am wondering were all this came from, and if it is really one problem. Do you guys have any suggestions ? Thanks for your help guys.

just get em fixed one by one.misfiring could be coils which can be done by yourself, knock sensor as well,o2sensor follows behind.

bad KS + exhaust, 02 sensor AND misfire?

you must be getting like 7 m.p.g.....

what year is your max? 99 ?

if so i would have to assume its the coilpacks. that is a common item to fail on those years.

the KS and o2 youre just going to have to replace. KS isnt hard to do by yourself (the part will cost 80 - 130).

i dunno about o2 cuz i never had a problem with mine but that and the cat can be done at the same time because of their location. labor shouldnt be more than an hour for the pair.

You have a misfire, probably a coil pack failing. Common and easy to fix.
The misfire can be causing most of the other errors, so fix that first, clear the codes and see what if anything comes back. A misfire can throw a bad cataylist code. I doubt your cat went bad just like that.

If you DIY, est. cost is ~100 bucks.

Looks like the coils

Had the 1st one changed, and a tune up and oil change cause I was due. Max is running smooth. So far the engine check light has not come back on. Hopefully all is well, my baby is happy.

Thanks and sorry for the late reply.
