taking the max camping
So yeah im taking my maxima camping.Has anyone taken there car camping before? Do you think it will be ok to.Its not that bad of a drive. Not to bumpy or anything to worry about.Feed back would be awesome.thanks
2" sprint springs on tokico illuminas set 5/5... 17x7.5 lightweight wheels with 235/45 super duper sticky summer tires... yeah, you'll be ok car camping as long as the trail/path isn't too rough. I scraped quite a few times though, and I wasn't even carrying much.
Oh, if you're using the car to store food from bears, make sure u got some good rubber seals around doors/trunk. I was told bears can sniff through some car doors and trunks.
I've never brought an cig lighter > AC converter, but I can see it might be useful for little things to power.

My KOA membership's about to expire... not sure if I want to renew cuz I only used it once last year. I like the "$10/car" type places anyways.

Why wouldnt the max be ok on a camping trip? Dont go rock crawling cause you'll damage the **** out of the underside, but other than that I dont you'd have any problems... I've taken my car on some really bad roads and it did fine - 6" (iirc) of ground clearence helps lol. I guess I could say Im the resident off-roader haha
LeVeL: what springs are you on? Do you have RSB? LTB? Wheel/tire combo? Super sticky summer tires on dirt/sand is kinda scary, esp w/o LSD. Was scared at several points. But you're right, if you've got stock w/ all seasons, should be fine.

Do you not have any friends with trucks??? Just going camping shouldnt be bad, but if you decide to take it through the woods, i would suggest not. Its a family 4 door car, not a off road vehicle!!!!!! Great post by the way
