Can I remove the silenser under the battery that is part of the intake? What does it do? I aslo want to add a tube to the intake. Thanks.

Yes you can. I did it to mine and felt like I had more power on the top end. It also doesn't make it any louder. I also thought about routing air from underneath the front of the car towards the opening created by removing the resonator but never got around to it. I eventually got a stillen intake. A word of caution - if you do route air from the front of the car to the new opening I'd maybe consider what might happen if you drove in heavy rain. I don't think you'd hydrolock the engine but I probably wouldn't connect the tubing, I'd just direct the cold air towards the opening. Let me know if you have any success.

Good point I will keep that in mind. I will probably put it some where higher.

I removed both of the resonators and it gave the engine a deeper growl i thought but i couldnt tell any difference in power. The second one, off the little wedge thingy between the MAF and TB, made a bigger difference but you have to plug it somehow. I also looked at routing air from under the car but on mine the inlet into the main intake tube seems to make any air that goes into the intake that way go in the opposite direction of the airflow, so i didnt do anything with it.
