Coilover'd peeps, how long do your axles last?

Just want to get an unofficial survey going.

I lowered my car in November, replaced both axles then.... driver's side axle has **** the bed as of a week ago or so.

However, I drive on what might be the worst roads in NYC.

My pass side went out as of 1 month after I installed the COs, but it hasn't made any clicking noises or anything, but the boot is broken...

It also depends on how slammed you are and road conditions too.

Could be quality of your replacement axles, driving conditions, your driving style, ride height, or all of the above. I'm down about 2.5" using coilovers driving on chopped up roads for about a year now on OEM axles from 1999 and I recently started to hear the occasional clicks of torn outer CV boots.

once my car isfully slammed i'm going to see about having shortened axles made to reduce the harsh angle. i'll pass on any info i find.

What's your current suspension setup skuccio???

I've been on Progress coilovers for over 2 years now. No noises, squeaks, rattles, moans, creaks, busted boots, or broken axles.

Nex SS coilovers, dropped basically at about the same height as you (same color as well if that matters)

Though I admit the roads I drive on are absolutely terrible and do no good for the life of axles even at stock height.. I had 2 torn boots on the axles I replaced when I lowered the car

Still riding on the originals (~66k) but they've been clunking since I ran coilovers about 8mos ago. Passenger side started making noise first. Boots are not torn but the driver's side is losing grease :/

When replacing CV half-axles, has anyone had success with the Autozone after-market half-axles? Or what are you all using??
