AE'd headlights, blacked out corners.
Dave and I AE'd my headlights last night, and we decided to black out the corner lights. We tried making a 'black chrome' grill with niteshades over the chrome...that didnt work. So its just painted black now. Here are some pics. They still maintain brightness without the reflector.

I'm liking the look of the headlights and corners. The grille looks clean too, but I think it looks a little off on a White Max w/ the Gold emblem. With some smoke/tinted bumper lights and tails maybe it'd be set off nicely?

definately need some black housing bumper lights. Id say go with a chrome emblem over the gold. the gold doesnt match. Other than that it looks good. I would also probly go with a white grille for your car but the black looks good too.

yours look good compared to mine.this was like my first mod but its a shame that my plastic lenses are so sh!tty.
I have been missing that turn signal for so long. ive been just procrastinating on getting another one cause it would be my 3rd set of buying them. so obviously if i buy another set i think its going to be the black one. i also need to repaint my grill. i did a quick job on it so.......peel here peel there. luckly i still have a nice size can of cg2 around. The sad part is this is the extent of my exterior mods lol
little off topic since i was taking pics of my ae'd headlights. look what it did here yesterday. and it is still like in the upper 20's here. i cant even tune my car now cause i cant go wot boooooooooo!!!!!!

straight, not enough contrast, should have left the grille alone or white. especially if you got the corners black. on non black cars i've never really dug black corners. but kudos for thinking outside box of conventional wisdom tho.

yeh, def get a white grille and chrome emblem.
infact, just get your grille painted at a shop, shouldn't cost you more than $50. got mine painted, and clear coated for $40. and get that emblem from the dealer.

blackened out corners are the way to go with A.E. headlights imo it looks funny if you dont balcken the corners out. i had mine set up that way till i decided to go the r34 projector retro.

OK I just got my Max a couple of weeks ago and I really like that blacked-out look. I'm also a total newbie to modding so could you please tell me how you did it? Also, what do you think would look better on a black max...the blacked-out corner lights with clear or black bumper lights? Anybody got any pics? Thanks.
