The six inch diameter should be fine. You may need to make an adaptor ring to accomodate screw holes. The only other problem you may have is the mounting depth. I suggest you go to Cruchfield.com and look at their fitment chart and measure the dimensions of your speakers to determine if they'll fit. Good luck. One last thing - before you break your door panel trying to remove the speaker grilles - you have to remove the whole door panel to gain access to the speakers.

I don't remember off hand, but Crutchfield.com can tell you. Also, there is about 1 inch between the grille and the suspension of the speaker on my 95 Bose setup.

- make a set of adapter rings
- depth wise they WILL fit
- hide the crossover where the styrofoam block is with some zip ties

Connection

I don't know if the door speakers are the same, but when I did the rears the connection brackets are kind of strange, so you might have to bend the leads in or do tap the lines, something like that, because soldiering is probably not a good idea. The brackets resemble fan connectors n a motherboard, but are a bit tougher and lock in place.

I don't know if they're standard, but it could be a small problem.

Best of luck with your install, though.

I assume if your putting components in, your putting in a new head nit and amp?

So the wiring shouldn't be a problem (If you are putting in those things)...you just need to run the speaker wires yourself from the amp, which you probably already know anyway.

The front speakers in Maxima are in 5" long baffles....so you have 5" of mounting depth.,...more than enough for any component i can think of.

Which unit is it?

I can try and work a deal with some friends at the local stereo shop here in Seattle, or at least try and find you a better price online.

sounds like the Kenwood 910DVD headunit, that retails at $2500 so its probably the unit below that! Cost on the 910 is $800 direct from Kenwood, too bad im not installing at my shop anymore, i could have gotten it for $800
