Sparkplug non fouler/O2 sim??

so i did some research on this because my test pipe will be here in a day or two.

i read that your cEL for O2 will be set off if you dont have a simulator.

BUT turns out that all you need is a drilled and non drilled sparkplug nonfouler before the O2 Sensor and you wont get the CEL for the O2 Sensor!!!!

anyone have any experience with this?

Wouldn't this only apply if he had a 95/96 Max??

Being he has a 97, doesn't the cat come out and the test pipe goes in its place? Done deal and no need for an 02 sim?? My memory is slipping......

the 97 has the 02 senor after the cat and when you take the cat out and put the test pipe in it messes up the o2 because it is directly after the cat.
