I found this sensor made by Hitachi called a boost sensor. I was like... WUT i dont have a turbo... haha... NEway... Its just some sensor with a few vacuum lines on it right next to the valve cover. I can't find where it mounts though... SO I just stuck it between some tubes.

that sensor mounts up on the left side of the stock air snorkel right above the radiator. I also noticed it and was like "uhhh...what boost are you sensing?"

so I know where it goes..but no idea what it does

Boost sensor = Absolute Pressure Sensor. From the FSM:

The sensor detects ambient barometric pressure and intake manifold pressure respectively, and modifies the voltage signal recieved from the ECM. The modified signal will then be returned to the ECM. As the pressure increases, the voltage rises.

I have a 2001 se and I was not able to find one on my car. Also the air intake duct seems to be missing the part that sits piggy back to the air duct and next to the battery. I am the original owner and had the car in to the stealership once many years ago to replace the MAF. I am wondering if this car never came with these parts or if the stealership took them off and never replaced them. Can anyone please help?

You really had to bring up a 9 month old thread to ask a question in the wrong section?

What air intake duct? The scoop? A picture would help.
