my car just ate a 2nd alternator
So, i've replaced my alty in Septebmer. Before that i've had the batt & brake lights come on. I drove like that for a month. I'd just rev higher (or rev a bit in neutral) and they'd go away. But i've never had any stalling/starting issues.
Anywhoo, yesterday, after 90 mins of highway driving with the AC on. The light came on again. When i got home, i've tried disconnecting the neg batt terminal to see if the car would die without the batt.....and it did. SO it's the alty again!
Before i replace the alty, is there something i should check that may be killing alty's? Maybe something that has to do with the AC comp?

no, garyrr, i'm not running anything extra @ all.
Hi dgeesaman! I got it from these guys:

(After all the horror stories about Advance Auto altys, I figured this was worth a try)
I'm trying to hit them up for warranty now. I drove the car today a bit. No warning lights or anything. But i didn't use the ac or blowers @ all, and it was much cooler than yesterday.
