just got gf 4th gen, looking for springs, vets step inside

so i own a 5th gen and have made many many mods to her but am not educated at all on the 4th.

I did alot of research before i decided on mine and i ended up putting h&R's on my front only with 235/35/18's with the full stillen kit and still have my original shocks with no problems after 30k. although it only dropped my car 1.3 in the front i believe, with the stillen kit optical illusion and slightly smaller diameter wheel it really gives the car a much lower look. It handles much better and it still has a really great ride.

however her car is in the shop as we speak and needs new front shocks, so i figued while its apart maybe i could get her front springs asap and eliminate some of that horrible front wheel gap. i thought mine was bad but her 95 gle is ridiculous!!!

i really want to maintain a good ride for her but get it lower. my 5th with 18's and stillen really only needed the front. with both front and rear she looked like she sagged in the back so i went back to stock in rear. no handleing issues or shock problems.

so my question is for the experts and please answer asap as its in the shop as i type and dont want to hold my mechanic up for too long.

1)can i assume 1.3 h&r will give as nice of a ride as they do on my 5th?

2)will it be enough, only 1.3 with the h&r springs as it seems she has a much worse gap than my 5th gen gle ever had. i put the 5th gen 6 star rims on for her and all i can see is wheel gap (lol then again im a car freak)

3)should i do both front and rear? or do the 4th gen give that weird sag look like the 5ths do if you do both?

4)finally what are the most common springs you guys use when looking for cosmetic appearance but as well as not compromising ride quality? maybe the H&Rs are not the best as they are for my 5th gen.

sincere thank you to any that can help me. greatly appreciated..........

I dropped a 5th gen with only H&R's up front. The ride was awsome and it looked perfect as well. However, us 4th gens have big gaps both front and rear. I say buy the H&R's (they ride the best on 4th gens) and have your mechanic put them in the front then have the car aligned. See how it looks and drives. If your not satisfied or think the rear gap is still to big, then you can put the rear springs in yourself and save a few bucks. The rear is very easy to do, you don't even need a spring compressor to do the rears.

thanks for the input, i went with the h&r on my 5th and already ordered them for her 4th. i just believe so much in the ride h&Rs provide. i dont race and neither does she so cosmetic look with out compromising too much of the ride is paramount (ive rode in others with diff springs and while slightly lower or the same, i couldnt believe how harsh they rode)

i did check the suspension thread but although detailed with numerous specs it did'nt give me the human perspective.

I'm a BIG Tein fan so i recommend the S-tech...... I'm riding on H-tech(LUXURY) and its just not low enough for ME but still rides real good....
