Shifter removal problem!!!

Im in the middle of installing my new B&M but i hit a roadblock. The two 12mm bolts on the back side of the shifter assembly, with the pointy bolt, came about halfway out then they started spining freely. There visible from inside the car but theres nothing for someone in the car to grab onto. So at this point i dont know what to do, i cant drive the car and i cant loosen the bolts. Im wondering if anyone else had trouble removing those.

Any ideas please jump in because i have work in the morning and its not looking to good right now.

they spin freely because the inside part of the screws have nothing for you to hold onto, there kinda just flat studs. I just did mine a few days ago and my cousin mentioned that to me. You could use vise gribs if you can get em in there. If not JB weld them so you have more leverage when taking the bolts off from underneath.
