Are these worth it? Stillen claims they are the best upgrade for the money. I have a FSTB and getting ready to install springs, I am sure this would help the handling enen more, but how much? thanks

Personally, I'd say the brake pads and PIAA H3 SW upgrades are the best bang for the buck, but the Stillen RSB is also a very beneficial modification - body lean sucks =)

RSB

I had an FSTB and loved it. Then I added the RSB not thinking the bang for buck factor would be as great as when I added the FSTB. It was!

Picture this; your doing quite alot of velocity approaching a long sweeping curve. You ever notice how the Max doesn't inspire the most confidence when you enter the curve initially, but as you go through it the rear "buttons down" and does its thing?? Well, with the RSB when you approach the curve, you turn the steering and you get this strong sensation of the rear wheels keeping everything tight, like it wasn't back there was no rear there before the RSB. Your confidence entering the curve is much greater.

Instead of "shut up and drive"

"shut up and get one"

IMO, the sway bar is one of the best upgrades you can get for the Max. I mean, I don't know why Nissan didn't have the fstb and rsb included on the car. With the rsb, you're car handles like a compact car, if not better. Definetely worth it.

GET IT!!! hands down. You won't belive you ever

drove without it. Nails the car down. Totally flat when you corner. Much more inspriring handling definately. -and with a spring upgrade it becomes way to easy to drive way to fast. But even at low speeds it's effects are apparent. The maxima's current rear suspension does help keep the back end squarely planted but this bar totally tightens up the car without any bad side effects. However since suspension travel is limited in the rear with the bar installed if one wheel goes into a pot hole and the other remains on smooth pavement the rear of the car will lift a little more and not give quite so much but this is not annoying and is still an excellent trade off. As good but different as the Front Strut Tower Brace. About $240 from Stillen. Addco bar supposedly works the same in theory but is no where near as sturdy or as solid as the Stillen mandrel bent aluminum bar.

True indeed, the addco rsb may not be the bar of choice, however, it's a whole lot less than the stillen rsb. Especially since there's been a group deal on them for the longest time now. $240 for stillen or $130 for addco. If you've got the extra dough, go for the stillen rsb, if not, addco does the job just as well w/out the extra $110 bones.

Don't compromise for $100.

True, these bars may work theoretically the same but in general don't skimp on something that will last longer then the car itself and will give you greater driving enjoyment. _no matter what the upgrade. Never be afraid to buy the best - you won't be dissapointed. And Addco bar works the same but at a different stress point. Drive em back to back and you'll notice a difference. Addco bar seems to work more so at the limit and practically kick the rear wheels out - which is really pretty fun - Stillen bar is a little more gradual. It seems to have constant firmness up to point of breakaway. Just preference I suppose. Have fun.
