2 questions - 1) why did it take the shop 4 months, and 2) why didnt they paint the front bumper?

The 4th gens are champs. I had a very similar front end accident...wasn't really my fault...car jump over infront of me. My radiator was sitting on my motor! And she still crunk up and let me drive her 30+ miles. Wasn't the smartest thing I did...lol the situation really called for me to get my car out of the area asap and she drove like nothing was wrong. Didn't even get hot on me. My love got stronger at that moment for my max.

aint that something... when i bought my first max i had three of them standing in front of me to choose...1rst was a silver 95 se auto black black leather and everything, 2nd was a 96 gxe black auto with no luxuries + front hit and the 3rd one was a 98 green gle i picked the second have owned it for 5 years now with no problem...now after 5 years i still have that and i got a 95 se, 97 se and a 98 gxe the only year missing is 99 which is probably coming next year...every one hates me big time for owning 4 same cars but oh well....

Great job putting it back together, good to see people don't just give up!
You coulda just painted it yourself though, just get the paint code, order the same color and spray it on. It's not that expensive if you do the work.

Also, you need an emblem man! Display that Nissan logo proudly

I think he meant the chrome vs the painted grill. Chrome = GLE and painted = SE. Correct me if i'm wrong.

All of these threads with wrecked Maximas make me exponentially more paranoid that 4th gens are magnets for accidents. Glad everything worked out though...
