Lower Alternator Bolt

Where can you pick one of these up? Am I going to have to go to a hardware store? The one on mine is all jacked up and a nut won't go on it. So, it's just sitting there kind of stabilizing the alternator. Probably the reason the bearings went out on the first one. Can't imagine that only one bolt is going to carry the load for long.

Your going to have to get it off to compare to a hardware store equivalent. it IS possible. Friend of mine found something to work at ACE Hardware.

Bring the nut because you will have to reuse that, so bring it as a sample for the type of thread you need

I'll give the hardware store a shot this weekend. I will not be able to use the nut though, it was the wrong one and it did not screw on all the way. I need to completely start over with the whole setup. I'll give ACE a try this weekend. The bolt on there now is just keeping it from moving backward and forward, so I need to get it replaced ASAP.
