Well, it looks like I'm going to have to rebuild or replace the tranny. I'm (of course) looking for one with LSD and can only pay around $650 or so, and if I cant find one then I'll take what I can get. I was told by a salvage yard that any tranny from a 95 up to the 99 will fit. Is that true? If I get the LSD model, all I need different is axles correct? Any help anyone provides is greatly appriciated.

another 4th gen 5-spd failure?????? WTF?!?!?!?!?!

What's wrong with your tranny dude? How many miles are on the car? Do you typically drive like a mad man? I wish you luck, LSD trannies are hard to come by...

well, my car has 130k miles on it. Yes i trend to wind it out, but I think it was REALLY abused by the people that owned it before me.

I know the LSD's arent as common, but dont all 99 5-speeds have it? I'm looking for a 98 to 99 since they would have lower miles on it.....
