independent fogs, wired to clearance? help?

i can't find anyone that has done a write-up on how to wire the fogs to the clearance lights. i found a writeup to do it to the bumper lights, or the wiper relay. i took the wiper relay route, but i would rather only have the option of having the fogs on when the clearance's are on (i.e. one click on the light stalk). that's how my 94 was, so there's obviously a way to do it bc someone did it on that car before i owned it.

my thing is, the wires are right there next to the relay box just waiting to be spliced into, but i don't have a voltmeter and i'm not dropping some cash just to do this one mod. can anyone help, or at least point me in the right direction? PLZ????

Bumper light/sidemarker will turn on at the same time as the corner light/clearance light, unless you have a 95-96 in which case the clearance light will switch to the brighter light when you use its respective turn signal (IIRC), so your fogs will turn off whenever you use your turn signal. Do the sidemarker instead.

I personally did this one: http://www.vqpower.com/v2/infusions/...?article_id=81

It was really easy, just needed like 3 inches of wire and about 5 to 10 minutes. I love it so far. I can have fogs on with no lights, fogs on with parking lights, fogs on with low beams, or fogs on with high beams.

Oh and I know they did it for the 95-96, but I have a 97 and everything was exactly the same.

you're right, i didn't consider that. i drive a '97, but i can see where it might be a problem anyways. i guess my question has turned into a poll of sorts, which of the 3 ways do we like our foglights, A) completely independent, B) dependent on running lights, or C) dependent on low-beam headlights.

i choose A lol, not that this is now a poll...but i'm just saying

You probably blew the 7.5 amp "tail lamp" fuse under the dash. If you've run a lot of extra lights onto that circuit or touched a wire to something you shouldn't have, it might have blown. Try replacing that with another 7.5 amp fuse, and if it blows again, try a 10 amp fuse, but don't go any higher than that. If it blows the 10 amp fuse, you've really messed some wiring up somewhere and you need to check back over it.
