To those with the 2k Exhaust....

are there any fitment issues? Do the brackets for our exhaust still work for the 2ks? Also was there any performance gain?
thanks

In theory there may be a performance gain because of the way the newer muffler works. Basicly there is a valve that opens and closes depending on backpressure. When it can use two opening more effectivly it opens it and when your losing too much it closes it. Nice idea. I am trying to get a 2k muffler or newer myself. You already have one?

I have one for my 3-gen. I had to redo all my hangers(Keving!) but they are in similar spots. It's not problem for any decent muffler shop. I wanted no so much gains but a quiet muffler w/ at least the potential for gains. This 2k muffler did the job like a champ. It should also outlast most aftermarket mufflers. My oem one lasted 100k+ and this oem Nissan 2k muffler should do well also.

great.... Thats exactly what i wanted to hear. I also dont want a loud annoying muffler, so i figure this would be a great solution. And to answer your question SuDZ.. yes i already have one
thanks for your responses

I am think about getting a Borla universal muffler (turbo I think). I had one on my Jeep and it sounded great. Also, it has a 1,000,000 mile warranty (yep, that's a million).

I put one on my MAX. The only issue is that you need to weld an extension piece on to it. Other than that it fits well.
It seems to give a boost when used with some type of intake Overall its a pretty good mod to make.
