license plate lights

license plate lights

I have a 97 max and i just put two led lights in where the license plate is. But there not bright at all. Should i get the HID lights (168)? What should i do?

Depends on the color you want. You can go to vleds.com and get you some 194 4light bulbs. I purchased some hid white from them. They are super bright, but have a blue tint to them. Anything besides white will attract some unwanted attention.

you have to use high power leds. i have these for a couple projects i have planned including plate lights.

I just ordered some off Ebay that are 6 LED based that run about 6 bucks w/ shipping.They say bright white LED but are slightly blueish when lit up.

What is a good replacement for the housing? Mine has rusted and I cannot get the screws out because they have been stripped. The whole housing is gone from my other car so I need to get something in there to light up.

I did the same. I have VLeds HID White bulbs in the doors, dome, reverse, license plate, and corner lights.
