its very easy to change, there is nothing really to look out for except make sure nothing falls in the valve cover.

Did you get a new grommet? If not might wanna run and get one.

One of the guys recently posted a horror story explaining that he somehow poked his old (maybe the new one, I forget) grommet down into the intake. So I spose you might wanna be careful of that.

I got the old PCV Valve off - np, but I can't get the new one installed. It is b**tch to get in. You guys that have done it before any suggestions? Do I install it with the rubber gromet attached to the PCV valvue or keep it in the crackcase. I got a new pcv valve and gromet from a nissan dealer and I tried installed both ways with the grommet on the pcv valve and the grommet on the crankcase. Neither work, the pcv valve will not go in. I tried twisting and pushing in and it just won't go in.

Very old pcv valve

I bought my maxima a month ago with 244000 miles on it. And it still had the original pcv vavle in there. I hope now the car will start running better with the new one!

I just recently replaced the pcv valves in all my 4th gens, just because it's cheap and easy and I figured it was good idea. Just one question: What does that little bugger do???
