5 Speed Conversion Successful!

hey hey! just got my 5 speed convesion done! the process took about 4 days, because few parts are broken, and couldn't get it in the same day. just wanted to say thanks to sx7r, and also broken motor for helping me out on this. without them, i really couldn't have done this! but in conclusion... i love my car even more now haha.... it's a lot faster, and fun to drive ^_^

well....people, time, and money haha... it's really not hard, but it's just the hassle off taking everything off, and putting everything on...changing the axle, and alot of times..different tools are needed! i spend approx about 1000 but now i thought about it 1200..but if you love stick, and the way it feels..it's definitly the best mod u'll ever make..at least for me that is ^_^

AznStevie...

Are you running on your auto ECU ? Harold is and says it feels more responsive than a manual ECU, but it may just be mental. ?

Congrats on the conversion. So you have been the reason why i havent talked to Thomas in liek a week. I hope you enjoy it!

BTW-Dont take the comment of your 5psd not feelin as responsive as his. We all know Thomas has like a super car. Only he goes out Supra hunting.

If I could find someone to do me conversion for $1,000, or even $2,000 with labor and parts. I would do it in a heart beat. Hope it runs well for you!!

Re: sadly yes...

i know for a fact then that it is the AUTO ECU. because of that i wont do it.. if something else goes wrong with my car and i couldnt tell for awhile, but the CEL was on.. that would suck and with my luck it could happen.

you can swap out a manual engine harness and use a manual trans ECU. Thats what we did in my conversion.

hahaha...

i don't think sx7r wants to do the conversion again haha...too tiring!! we did it ourselve. put it this way...the whole process is not hard at all!! it's just tiring!! there is one bolt ish under the tranny, and nothing fits in that thing for me to tighten it up or loosen it... haha... all of us were under the car trying to get that bolt off haha... it took me like 40 minutes to take one bolt off =P oh yeah...did i say this is a pretty dirty process too?

i think those are the replica of racing hart m5s?
