hit the curb at like 25mph

Ok so I was driving today, I lost attention, and noticed my car was gonna hit the curb. I was driving in front of a middle school, prbly around 25 or 30mph. I started turning the steering, but it was a little late and I bumped into the curb. You think anything bad happened? Axle or nothing is broken, I can still drive the car fine... just curious lol

check if rims are bent(doubt it @25), then like ^^^ said, if your car is pulling to the sides, you shud be good.

that curb coulda been some kid.... wow.

I would bet at least ur allignement is off now, if not a bent rim/something broken behind the wheel. Take wheel off and look around, c if anything appears broken. If not and car drives straight, then dont worry about it.

Probably not a bad idea to get an alignment fairly soon just in case...

at not paying attention.

Maybe you shouldn't own/drive a vehicle just yet....

I would get an alignment asap, does not take much to ruin your alignment.

dineth00j30, actually there wouldn't be anything wrong with me checking out 15 year olds because I am 17 lol... but middle school girls are like 12, FYI

Also my alignment was already messed up and I think i kind of corrected it a bit with this? Haha...car used to pull a lot to the right, now it doesn't as much anymore

I think... you need your keys taken away for a little bit until you learn a little more about a car, how it works, and safety. Keep your eyes on the road, you shouldn't be checking out stuff while you're moving. Also yeah, just pay for an alignment, it's something like $48 for one at Brakes Plus (mixed with Advance Auto Parts usually). It'll save you in not having to buy new tires so soon.

I think the equation would be Cosine of the misaligned angle will give you the reference to how many miles you drag your tires for the total amount went, ie if the cosine is .01, and you got 1000mi, it's like dragging your tires 10mi sideways, which btw .01 is less than 1° off.

Did you eat paint chips as a kid?

I hit a curb doing 25 mph in my development a few winters ago, slid on ice i didn't see was there while making a turn and smacked into a curb. I bent the rim, messed up the lower control arm and replaced the tie rod for good measure. Also had alignment done. I would rather know my car is safe and true when traveling 80 mph than risk my life or someone else's.

It sounds like you don't know much about your car, which I didn't at 17 either and still don't know that much. I suggest taking the car to a professional to inspect that everything is in order.

Please keep your eyes on the road at all times too no matter how many 15 yr old girls are around

ooh man you guys are brutal!!! LOL and once again middle school guys middle school.....so the age range i would guess would be from 11/12-14/15 yrs old. IF you have back roads that have evenly straight asphalt i would test the car there instead of taking it on the highway....bring it up to 40-65 and see how she feels..vibrations...pulls hard to the sides.....

just like pavelsmax.....i hit a curb doing bout 30 mph.....had to replace the whole left side i.e. rim, control arm, both tie rods....etc...etc....it was either i go plow straight into the suv (wanted to stop for a dog that jumped into the road) or hit the curb.. GO figure
