HELL YA!
95/96 red clears pwn 97-99 red clears all day long!! If I didnt have a 96, Id be doing the same as you ptatohed.

Too bad though you can only buy 97-99 CF trunks, thats the only thing stopping me from buying nicer tails, in a few months Ill be getting a CF trunk and hood. Sucks though cause honestly I think the 97-99 red clears look stupid, I might be going with altezzas when I get my trunk, but then people are gonna call me rice......we'll see...

I was wondering about that I looked high and low but no CF trunks for my car. All I could find was 97-99 and on top of that I would have to drill holes for a spoiler and of course I would have to get a CF one so I said crew it and stuck with this. If anyone ever finds a 95-96 CF trunk let me know.

I think the 95/96 CE red clears are nasty. I don't like how we can look into half of the tailight and see stuff.

It's not rice if you have the performance to back it up IMO

Civic + unpainted body kit + Exhaust tip + windshield washer LEDS = rice

Maxima + CF hood and trunk + MEVI + NWP spacers + ALL the other stuff you have = Import tuner style

I was going to do the skyline tail light mod, but for some reason it looks awful on a white car....If I were the OP I'd go with the red/clears and give them a light tint to offset that super chrome look they have. That's what I'm planning on doing.

I think it's the chrome ones people don't like.

hey wind deflectors have a purpose too... When I want the windows open a little and its raining I don't have to worry about rain getting inside my car. They also work great for when im parked on a hot day so I can leave my windows open a crack without worrying about rain. Besides I think they look good and will look even better once I get tints. I am thinking 20% but am a little worried considering 35% is legal.

PEOPLE did you see his tailpipe? he's already got the rice thing down to a science. go with the skyline-esque tails.

submaxzero, it's not REALLY necessary to type with caps lock on. also, nobody has actually used "da" in conversation since like 1995

Hey don't make fun! I'm not crazy about them, but I HAD to! I got a paint job about 9 months back, and after a winter of no mud flaps, my paint is SCREWED. There's more old paint showing than new paint

haha no problem...I actually didn't like the wind deflectors at first, but now that you point it out, they can be pretty useful!

Also, go with the 20% tint. I had 35% once....just not enough for me. 35% is what's legal for me too, but I went with 20% all around and I LOVE it. Not obviously illegal, but looks SOOO much better than 35%

When are you getting the tail lights?

LMFAO....I was like how do you know he has manb00bs

I've heard those (after time) damage the paint themselves...so that wouldn't really be helpful.

I'm not a fan of either but if I had to choose, I'd got with the right ones ( red.clear)..

reason:

Circle Tails do not flow with 4th gen body style
If you want to gain points at the show from ricers, then go with the CF round ones ( even if colour matched)
If you want clean, respectable and not screaming "hey, look at me, I got crazy *** aftermarket lights", then go with the red/clears..
the red clears give the car a much more respectfull/"grown up" look..
the CD tails, just scream I am a kid who just wants something aftermarket..

once again, this is my opinion..
before buying tails, since it's for a "show car".. why not try to be creative with the OEM lights instead?

personally, I prefer staying in the OEM or OEM looking mods.. for me, a clean car that looks OEM gains more respect from me then a car that has noticable aftermarket parts added on ( not flowing with body shape)

Do like me, shave down your OEM mudflaps so they look like 5th gen ones ( just the "molding" part..

I have shaved down ones for summer ( when I am slammed) and un-shaven ones for the summer

Digitized that is a great idea I think I might have to go look for some 4th gen mud flaps to mess with.

I have the CF, they look good but seem kind of cheap. If you can afford it look for some real led's.

First set is of day pics, and there are extra vertical rows when brakes are applied.
Second set is the same, but at night.

Too bad KJS can't use them because he's not 97 though...

since i haven't done any 95-96's yet, it'd take longer.
i think 300 for just boards and 350 for them mounted, you supply the assembly

Its all about your taste. I personally like the clears, but if CF is what your feeling it will also look nice. Ur car has a 'darker' look to it that will match the cf's. go with your flow ma dude lol

I have the CF's on my black Max. They were professionally painted to match the Super Black color. The photo shoped pics of the CF's don't do them justice, I will post pic's of mine later. I have had them for like 2 years now but I am tired of them. I put in red bulbs in each socket because I didn't want that pink look at night. But the down side is during the day you can barely see the blinkers. I was going to get my OEM tails retro'd by Reece616, but now that I saw how much he charges I'm just going to tint my OEM's and call it a day. Like I said I will post pic's of the CF's later when I get home from work.

clear tail lights

your best bet is keep the the corners clear, use the tail light spray and black out the red, I just joined and probably have spent way to much time and money on my car,but thats just the way it is
