I went to Big-O Tires to diagnose a front suspension problem I've been having for almost a month now. They put my car on the lift, removed the front tires, ran the engine and the tranny. They concluded that my transmission mounts (bushing?) have gone bad and also the steering mounts (bushing?). Can anybody help me clarify this? Whenever I shift, I can feel a slight jerk from the tranny. Is this a sign that the mounts need to be replaced? I went to the service dept and they said they'll install polyurethane mounts if I can provide/find them. Are there such items for the tranny?
