New LED Tail Lights

So after seeing a thread about led boards a while back, I wanted some real bad. No one was selling them at the time, and I thought with some time and some research I could design and create my own. It seems that many people have taken the same route I chose and some have even been selling LED tails, but I don't think anyone has them the way I do. I did a completely different design than anyone else and I like how it turned out.

As of now, I only have daytime pics, I will be taking night pics tonight.

Marker Lights

Brake Lights

(passenger side outer tail looks different because the cheap lens melted/warped )

i thought about that actually, but i think it's way out of my league.
I saw one guy on hid planet do something like that with his car and the electronics required were crazy. He said something like 50 hours of work for 1 board to make them do that, and he needed 2 of them (that didn't even include the leds)

i'm not a fan of the design but it's good you did it yourself and are happy with them. Always nice to do a job like that yourself. Congrats.

i can respect that. I like the design u went with too, but i wanted something different. It does feel better to do it urself, and that way you know how the things work...

thanks guys for the compliments.

I owe the completion of them to kzoosho, and BLACKonBLACK98. Without them I would have been stuck still and not have any idea how to get this stuff going.

i could probably make sets for you, and people that requested them, but I would need housings for them, unless you want just the boards and you want to mount them in the housing your self... if anyone is still interested, PM me and maybe something can be worked out

would you be able to fit them on the 95-96 trunks?? with the reds on the bottom not on the top if housing lights were provided?

i dunno, i would need to have them in hand to see if it would work...
i dont think the exact design would transfer over into the 95-96 housing.

leds tails

Congrats on the effort of doing them yourself and great job at that, I spent many hours doing my headlight retro (pain in the @ss) so i don't really feel like investing the time to do these on my own. Anyhow they came out nice and they look a lot like the four row design just with a slanted pattern. I personally like the three better but to each their own.

thanks, i knew there would be some people that wouldn't like them, and that's totally fine. I designed them for me and I think they look pretty bad ****. Thanks tho. I was considering doing a projector retro but i dont have the money for that haha

The desidn wont transfer as the 95-96 tails are completely different. If you need pics i have them of the 95-96 tails.

Yes sir, you did them for you..and a first attempt and they came out great! you should be proud of yourself.. I don't dislike em at all I would just perfer 3 row for me personally. You like them and that's all that matters, its all about you and your personalized max.. one thing you can say for sure is that you won't see many maxies out there with those
