Lowering Car...? about Strut Bearings, Dust Boots, and Camber Bolts...

I'm almost ready to lower my car. Just getting ready to order the last few things I need. I have the Springs sitting in my room and I'm about to order the KYB AGX shocks.

I'm also gonna be ordering Strut Bearings, Dust Boots, Camber Bolts, and I'm gonna use the spiral wrap for the Spring Isolators.

Now for my question! The strut bearings and dust boots...are only needed on the front of the car or all four corners? I got a little confused when I was reading the sticky. I don't want to order more stuff than I need.

Also, where can I get some Camber Bolts for cheap? I'm gonna get the dust boots and bearings from Nissan.

Thanks!
-Nick

if your car is relatively new like my 97, chances are that you will not need to get new replacement parts for the front end. i also did not need to ghetto rig some isolators for my eibach springs. the only new parts i can think of getting are for the rears! don't forget to get the bushings and cover washer for the top mount on the rears! i did not get any and i was left wondering what the heck was causing a tremendous banging noise. also, do not overtighten the nuts. i ended up having to cut off one of the bolts because they were previously overtightened and the nut was rounded off in the "U" channel. finally, make sure the springs are not mounted upside down. this will make the ride height unequal on one end. learn from my mistakes. hope this helps.

I did not need new strut bearings on my 96 when I lowered it. And the dust boots are totally unneccessary, don't bother.

i heard from more than one source that dust boots will protect the seals! even a little bit of debris might break them and cause the shock to leak..i replaced my tokico's because one of the rears were leaking. they did not have boots. also, AGX fronts and rears need the boots because they have built in bumpstops on them. you just slip them over the shock and that's all one unit.

i m replacing my suspension and the accessories i have are strut boots, bump stops(built in my strut boots), and washers that go right before the bump stop. I don't thing you need any of those other accessories you listed, unless you want the "new car" handling.

for the rears make sure you have a "bushing" and "cover washer." parts 56218 (bushing) and 55248N (cover washer). you might also need part 55240 (rear dust boot) from Nissan. nissan boots are cheaper than cattman's although i got cattman's AGX boots and they had the bump stops built into them (i don't know if nissan's are constructed the same way). get those parts for each rear corner! these numbers are taken from the exploded diagram that every dealer should have. my fronts were in good condition so i didn't need to get new parts. everyone keeps on saying get new strut bushings for preventative maintenance. but you might not need anything. i know for a fact though, that those rear parts i mentioned above are not included with AGX shocks! so make sure to get those three items times 2!
